Hard Work!!!
Man, relationships are work. I guess I'm writing this because I expected things to just flow and we just roll with the punches as they come. But I've found out that it takes more than just you liking someone to maintain healthy relationship. They're are gonna be good times and times. You're gonna get on each other nerves and argue sometimes. But it's all about how handle those situations. That's what makes or breaks the relationship.
After the honeymoon phase of things I think that my gal (I know that sounds country right?) and I have finally hit the real phase of our relationship. The little quirks the we once thought were cute can get a tad bit annoying at times. We're still searching to find ourselves and trying get to know each other at the same time. Though, we've known each other for 2 years we still find out new stuff every day about one another. With that being said of course there are gonna conflicts every now and then because we're still growing, individually and together.
I really do love this chick. Even if we weren't in a relationship I would still love her because we were close friends for a year and a half before we got together. Even though I feel this way I know that it takes way more than that to maintain the kind of relationship that we both want. It takes patience, compromise, communication, trust, respect. We're both only 19 so we're not fully there in some categories. (Well mostly me: Hey I'm workin' on it!) But I know that over time we'll get there.
Say fam I'm gonna have to cut this a little short 'cause I gotta headache from these new glasses...dueces

JUST CHILL FAM!!!
I just can't shake the feelings that I've been having lately. Over the past couple days I've been more moody and irritable. It's scary because I'm beginning to feel the selfish ways of years past starting to resurface and it's pushing away the people that are closest to me.
I really don't know what's wrong with me. Maybe I just need to have some space for a couple days to clear my head. Hopefully that'll do the trick. Hopefully...

IDK...
I don't know what it is but as blessed as I've been lately, I just feel frustrated for some reason. I shouldn't be feeling like this.
I'm a young, athletic, educated black man on the way to the top.
Just based off of those facts alone, I should be on cloud 9. If this this is cloud 9 it sure does feel empty...

Nike Spring/Summer 2009 Footwear | April Releases
Here are the latest releases to come from Nike. My favorites you can see above. The Blazer on the left actually features a nautical design below the surface that can be seen once removing the top layer. Pretty interesting concept and the blue/orange colorways definitely pops. The new sneakers are now available at Proper.

My last day with hair!!!
Where do I begin??? It's officially looking like today April 9, 2009 is the day that the bond between my dreads and I will officially be broken. When people see me with a taper fade 4 the 1st time in 3 years all hell is gonna break loose. But I think that it will be a welcome change because it seemed like people only identified me by my hair. Since '06 I've been known as Zeus with the dreads and now that they'll be gone in the next few hours I wonder how people will identify me...

Do Men Respect Women with Fat Asses? :-)
I was having a convo with my homegirl the other day and she made a random comment about her butt getting too big. While she likes what her mama gave her, she expressed the fact that she has limits on how big she wants her rear to get. Being the avid ass man that I am, I have no problems with a nice posterior so I asked, “What’s wrong with having a fat ass?”
“Men don’t respect women with fat asses,” she retorted.
Flabbergasted by her statement, I inquired, “What do you mean by that?”
“Just like I said men don’t respect women with fat asses.”
I thought to myself for a moment, could my homegirl's assessment be true? Do I, or any of my male counterparts, have less respect for a woman based on the size of her ass? I mean, I can definitely see the argument that a fat ass can be a gift and a curse. While curvy women are often viewed as physically attractive (by men of color at least), they also attract more unwanted attention from men. Some of my male peers tend to act a fool when they spot a applebottom and make some sort of snide remark. But does that mean guys have less respect for women with fat asses?
Based on my own actions, thoughts and beliefs, I’d say no. But when it comes to the average guy, they may not display the same amount of self-control and respect to a woman, fat ass or not, that they’d want for their own mother or sister. So perhaps she was correct in her assumption. Maybe guys subconsciously view curvy women as mere sexual objects and don’t treat them with the same respect as their small-waisted counterparts. Maybe all the big booty video vixens have something to do with it, too.
Perhaps that’s why so many shapely women dread walking outside. They wrap sweaters around their waists in the middle of summer just to cover up the junk in their trunk in attempts to deter unwanted catcalls. But don’t guys do that to pretty much any girl that walks by? Or is this barbaric practice amplified for full-bodied women and proof that men have less respect for them? I don’t know, it seems like too much of a sweeping statement and overgeneralization to take a specific stance.
